1000-1200 PE-al-PE pipe extrsuion machine line

To extrude PE-al-PE pipes in the range of 1000-1200mm diameter, a specialized extrusion machine line is required. The PE-al-PE pipes, also known as composite pipes, consist of a layer of polyethylene (PE) sandwiched between layers of aluminum (al), providing enhanced strength and barrier properties. Here is an overview of the components typically involved in a PE-al-PE pipe extrusion machine line:

Material Handling: The process begins with the preparation and handling of the raw materials. Polyethylene and aluminum are fed into their respective feeders or hoppers, where they are precisely metered and blended in the desired ratio.

Extruders: The blended material is then fed into the extruders. The extrusion machines consist of multiple barrels and screws, which heat, melt, and mix the material thoroughly to form a homogeneous molten blend of PE-al-PE.

Coextrusion Die Head: The molten PE-al-PE blend is transferred to a coextrusion die head. The die head is designed specifically to create a pipe with the desired diameter, typically in the range of 1000-1200mm. It incorporates multiple layers to form the composite pipe structure, with the inner and outer PE layers surrounding the aluminum layer.

Calibration and Cooling: After exiting the die head, the composite pipe undergoes calibration and cooling processes. Calibration sleeves, vacuum tanks, or sizing systems are used to ensure precise dimensions and roundness of the extruded pipe. Additionally, a cooling system, such as a water bath, may be employed to cool the pipe rapidly and solidify the molten material.

Haul-off and Cutting: Once sufficiently cooled and solidified, the pipe enters the haul-off system. Caterpillar-like tracks or belts move at a constant speed to pull the pipe, providing tension and stability. Following the haul-off process, the pipe is cut to the desired lengths using a cutting device or saw.

Marking and Printing (Optional): In some cases, an additional step involves marking or printing essential information, such as product specifications, manufacturing dates, or brand logos, on the surface of the extruded pipe.

Coiling or Packaging: The final step involves coiling the extruded PE-al-PE pipes onto reels or packaging them in bundles for transportation and storage.

It's important to note that the specifications and configuration of a PE-al-PE pipe extrusion machine line can vary depending on manufacturers and specific project requirements. Advanced machine lines may incorporate additional features like inline inspections, thickness control systems, or automated processes to ensure consistent quality and high productivity in the production of PE-al-PE pipes.
